Things to Do With Kids In Pembroke Pines

It's summer time and if you are looking for things to do with kids in Pembroke Pines you are in luck. There are a ton of activities and attractions in Pembroke Pines and nearby communities including Parks, Beaches, Nature & Wildlife Areas and Scenic Walks that both you and the kids can enjoy. It's just a question of scheduling and getting the kids motivated to put down the video games and get ready to have some healthy, engaging fun.

You can learn about the Everglades indoors at Fort Lauderdale's Museum of Discovery and Science and then shoot over to Everglades Holiday Park and see it up close and personal from an air boat. If Florida's "jungle" isn't your cup of tea you can head over to Hollywood and spend the day on the Best Family Beach, according to Fodor Travel Guide.

There is one little problem with outdoor summer activities in South Florida and that's the heat, humidity and afternoon thunderstorms that come like clockwork. There is an alternative though.

Take Your Kids to an Arcade

Little Java is a 12,000 square foot, air conditioned indoor playground in nearby Davie that has a ton of fun stuff for toddlers to teens including their new, old fashioned carnival Arcade. Remember how much fun you had as a kid playing those games at a carnival or boardwalk arcade? Now your kids can experience the same fun albeit on newer, more modern versions of ball toss games.

Something else has changed since you played these games. Remember having a pocket full of coins or grubby tokens and another pocket full of tickets you had won and could redeem for prizes? Well at Little Java the coins and tickets have been replaced with an electronic play card that tracks both credits and points earned. At the end of the day the points can be redeemed for awesome prizes. If you have balances left over, just hang on to the card and those balances will rollover for your next visit.

Your kids will love it. And if they get tired of "down-the-clown" or milk jug toss or the other arcade games they can hit the giant inflatables, try the rope course or tackle the rock climbing wall that Little Java Offers.

For cool, clean fun try an indoor playground this summer.
